Children's Ministry

"Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." ~ Matt 19:14

When you attend Bible Baptist Church, you will find a ministry that loves to interact with kids! Our Youth Pastor, Pastor Matt Tharp, delights in teaching and preaching the truths of God while making it thrilling for your young person! During Sunday School, 10:00 a.m., we teach the children ,Preschool- 6th, exciting lessons from the Bible. We use many visual aids and give out different snacks to keep the kids coming back to learn more! For younger children we have our Jr. Church specifically tailored to meet their needs with: Bible stories, Crafts, Snacks and different games! For the older children we have Super Church which meets the needs of the kids and grasps their attention encouraging them to do what's right and to obey their parents and most importantly, their God.


We want to invite your children to join in our exciting and fun weekly Bible club "King's Kids"! Each week the children are taught Bible principles of respect, honor, truthfulness, dependability and obedience to parents.


There are some cases where parents aren't able to come with their child. In this case we offer transportation to any young person who has an interest in coming to church with their parent's permission. If you are interested in allowing your child to ride one of our vehicles, please visit our "Bus Ministry" page and see our bus workers. Also, visit our "Contact Us" page and fill out the comment box with your Address, Phone Number, and child(rens) name(s). We will be happy to follow up with you and notify you and your family of any upcoming promotions that will encourage your child to come to church!


In any of our children departments, they are staffed people who know how to deal with children. We have 2-3 workers in any given class that are attentive to your child's needs. We count it a great privilege and honor for you to allow your children to visit us and grow with us in God's Word.

Teen Ministry

"Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers." ~ 1 Tim 4:12

We, at Bible Baptist Church, believe reaching the young people of this generation is essential to continuing the cause of Christ. 


In a day where wrong seems right and doing what the majority thinks seems to be the overwhelming pull on our youth, it is our desire to challenge and encourage our young people to break from that pattern. We endeavor to teach them to make wise choices and to stand up for what is right. We do this through clear biblical teaching on why we believe God's Word and what He has to say about how to live our lives.


Our Teen Department encourages our teens in many ways: we have multiple activities every month, we preach messages tailored to the daily needs and issue of a teenagers life, and we have outreach opportunities within the community for them to take part in.


We hope you would give us the honor of being able to work with your teenager and watch them grow and succeed in these difficult days. We praise the Lord for the great things that have already been happening in our youth group! We have seen many young people to be saved and baptized, and have seen them grow in knowledge of the Bible. So much goes on in our teen department! Adults Ministry

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." ~ Matt 18:20

At Bible Baptist Church, our mission is to focus on each age group of our generation. We know that at different times in our life we can struggle and become shaky in our faith. In our Sunday School classes we build you foundation and teach you the truths of God's Word. We currently have: Single Adults class, Young married adult class, a Middle Aged Adult Class, and our General/ Senior Adult class. We are confident that you will get closer to God in any one of these classes. We sincerely hope you will feel at home.

 

At other times we have Adult fellowships or different Adult activities because we know how difficult it is to find the time to fellowship with other believers in Christ. You will find regularly updated announcements on the site that will notify you of any upcoming Adult Events. They range from, "I love my Jesus" banquet to Adult Christmas Fellowship, to sundry potlucks we host. There is always time to fellowship at Bible Baptist Church!


In today's age, it is very important for Christians to edify and encourage each other. What better way to do that then being at a church where we strive show the love of God the various events and services.


It is our goal and desire as you live in this world, that you can come to Bible Baptist Church and find a refuge from the attacks of Satan. Satan wants to get a foothold in the lives of our Adult generation so that he might get to our younger generation.

Bus Ministry

 "And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." ~ Luke 14:23

The BBC Bus Ministry is crucially important to our

Church and Youth Ministry as a valuable resource to

help bring today's youth into Church to hear the Word

of God!


We offer transportation to and from regularly

scheduled services. Our bus drivers are carefully

screened and we endeavor to ensure the utmost

safety for your children.


Currently, we are running two buses and our Church

van to transport Church goers to our regularly

scheduled services. We run a Central Lake route, which covers Eastport, a Bellaire route which also covers Pleasant Valley and a Mancelona route.

Ladies Ministry

The importance of studying the Bible is paramount. However, studying the Bible with other Christians is what the Bible calls "iron sharpening iron." The Ladies Bible Study at Bible Baptist Church is a time where our ladies share each other's: burdens, prayer requests, gifts and much more.


Our Pastor's wife, Mrs. Julie Tharp, has been a spiritual leader for

the ladies at our church. Won't you consider taking time of your morning on Thursday to learn some important Bible truths?


During the Bible study, you can expect some refreshments, laughter, tears, and a better understanding of the Bible.

Choir Ministry

Music is a big part of our services. We believe godly, Christ-honoring music helps to prepare the heart. Our Choir loves to sing stirring, evangelistic arrangements that lift the spirit and encourage the heart! Special music is a weekly event in our Sunday services.

Seedline Ministry

Seedline is a means for our church to have hands on involvement with Bible publishing for the world. We take printed John and Romans and collate them, staple them, cut them and then box them up to be shipped to the mission field.
